Brooksville, Florida - A school resource officer responded to Hernando High School in reference to suspicious activities in the boy's bathroom.
Investigators say an employee of the school had observed 17-year-old Edward Romine showing off some pills to another student. The teacher asked for the pills that were being exchanged. The student said he did not know what Romine was trying to offer him.
The 25 pills were later identified as Xanax. Romine told the school resource officer that he intended to sell the pills to other students.
Romine was arrested and taken to Hernando County Jail where he was later released.
